Ranked as the seventh greatest films of all time and winner of two awards, The Graduate, starring Dustin Hoffman, Anne Bancroft, and Katharine Ross, is a marvelous comedy/drama about a young man Benjamin Braddock (Dustin Hoffman) who comes home from graduating college with no clue as to what direction he wants to head towards in life. At a house party his parents held for his return, a neighbor, Mrs. Robinson (Anne Bancroft) asks Benjamin to drive her home. She invites him in and proceeds to seduce him by taking off her clothes and telling him that she finds him attractive and wants him to know she's available at any time. As time goes on, Benjamin falls in love with Mrs. Robinson's daughter Elaine which Mrs. Robinson isn't pleased about one bit and tries to sabotage Benjamin and Elaine's relationship with different actions.

This film does not impact me on a personal level with the sleeping of my soul mate's mom, but on the level of I'm in college, but I don't know what direction I'm going. I've changed my mind on my life goal's so many times I've lost count. I tell everyone I'm set on this one major and I'm going to go far with it, but there's that small part of me that's questioning if I'll end up a forensic anthropologist. Benjamin thinks about his life and what's he's done and what he wants to do and questions it. He gets anxious and uncomfortable when people talk to him about his future plans and sometimes I feel the same way. I don't outwardly show my emotions all the times, so I hide these just I like I do the rest of my feelings. Benjamin and I are on the same page when it comes to our future goals and grad school. Are we going to make it? Or are we not?
