As I read through some websites and online magazines, I came across some quotes that spoke about education. I feel that some of these can contribute a great portion in the path of our future teaching career. I do agree with many of these and I feel that they are very interesting. These quotes can change the way a teacher thinks or they can be taken as advice in some way for the future teachers. Certain quotes require a little bit of some deeper thinking.
1. "Live as if you were to die tomorrow. Learn as if you were to live forever."
Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi / GoodReads.com
I feel that this quote means so many things depending on how you look at it. In my point of view, I believe that learning has no end. Everyone should live their life as if you never have to "stop learning." You just get smarter and smarter, gaining more knowledge throughout your life. People have to take risks sometimes in order to learn something every day.
2. "Never be afraid to try something new. Remember amateurs built the ark, but professionals built the Titanic."

No one should ever be afraid to try something new. Trying something new can lead to so many unexpected results. Some results can change you as a person, or change the world and its history. Being afraid to do something new can make an impact, either good or bad, but you will at least be able to say you tried. Successful or not, you should always try new things.
3. "One of the greatest discoveries a man makes, one of his great surprises, is to find he can do what he was afraid he could not do."
Henry Ford / EdGalaxy.com
Being afraid should never hold you back. Once you've tried something, the outcome of your actions can be successful and it's a great feeling. The results can become a huge difference in people's lives and the generations to come. Being afraid that you will fail at something will just stop you from learning new things or just discovering yourself as well.
4. "A man who has never gone to school may steal from a freight car; but if he has a university education he may steal the whole railroad."
Theodore Roosevelt / Ihup.edu
This quote was really interesting to me. It shows that if you are smart enough and work hard enough you don't have to do little things, you can just build and build and be able to do more. This quote, I feel, is really deep and it's a little difficult to explain. It just means that by having more education, you can get the better of bigger things. The more knowledge you have the better things you will be able to do.
5. "Every student can learn, just not on the same day, or the same way."
George Evans / drwilliampmartin.tripod.com
Many adults, especially teachers, need to understand this quote. All kids are different and they don't all learn at the same time. They're all smart in their own way, they can all learn the same things but sometimes they learn better in different ways. All teachers need to have patience and understand that all students are smart, and will do things in their time and in different ways.
6. "They may forget what you said but they will never forget how you made them feel."
