Journey Of Life
Eliot Prufrock and Kafka's Gregor both experience obstacles through their life. It's a journey that both men have to face and it causes a major conflict throughout their life. In the story of Eliot, he is an insecure middle aged man. He has a very dull and uneventful life. He has a fear of making decisions and he thinks way too much. He is going to a tea party. It's late at night and he's walking through a deserted street. While he's walking to the party he kept thinking that he was going to be judged by society. He was becoming older. He started to lose hair and became thin. He thought he was going to be judged because of this. As he got to the party he saw a woman that caught his eye. She was gorgeous in his eyes and would do anything to be with her. He was going to go talk to the woman but thought he wasn't as good as the other men there. He also thought that he didn't have a chance with the lady at all and he didn't even try to talk to her. This shows that Eliot is a sad man and his anxieties and obsessions make him become isolated from society. He always worries that he make a fool out of himself and that everyone will make fun and judge him.
In the story of Gregor, Gregor woke up as a giant cockroach. His physical appearance changed but his metal state did not change at first. When people started to judge him and put their perception towards his appearance is when he started to change. After he changed into a bug, he started to question his daily life.
