Energy Scholarship

Receiving the American Association of Blacks in Energy Scholarship would be of great assistance to my financial aid in college. Being a dedicated and hardworking student, I have refused to play any sports throughout my college years to better my preformance in the classroom. I don't come from a very rich background, so with this money, I would be supported with the cost of my housing, books, meals, and anything else I could possibly need for college.

Going into the field of medicine, I will go through the study of mostly mathematics and sciences. Being a student of the medical field I will be required to take courses such as biology and chemistry. The study of biology is sometimes broken down into into different majors, including evolutionary biology, biotechnology, molecular biology and biomedical engineering.

Within the study of chemistry, those interested in scientific method and such work focus on topics like forensics, the environment, physics, inorganic materials and organic chemistry. Not exactly aware of what is to come of my studies in college I must be aware and prepared for it all because it all falls under the energy field.

Knowing there are many applicants attempting to receive this award from your committee, I would like to go by stating that with this award, I would abide by establishing it to my college career and future goals. I understand this would be a great priviledge and granted opportunity to receive my further well being in life all together.
