The Most difficult decision I ever had to make

A long time ago in a place far away a baby was born to help, us get thru the bad times
as well as the good times, well this is one of those bad times that we needed the babies help.
When my daughter was very young as all parents did we carried her around mainly because we
were in hurry or she was not. One day my wife was carrying our daughter in the yard she
tripped over the sidewalk, while she did not fall she did wrenched her back real good.
4 or 5 years later after her back got progressively worse; she went to the doctor. The
doctor called after all the tests and x-rays were back and told us she had degenerative disc
disease. If you do not know what that means, it means back surgery. That is why had I to make
the most difficult decision of my life and I had to quit my job and take care of my wife
and kids at home.
Once we over the shock of the fact that my wife had to have surgery we had to decide what exactly we had to do. I do not know if you have been thru this before but we had not. We sat down and just made a list of things, people, options, and scenarios. One by one, we went over all of them, we did not have a long time to make our decisions. What became clear after phone calls to relatives and friends they either could not or would not help. Lots of reasons good and bad alike no matter who we called we could not get the help we needed. Then we tried to figure out how we would be able to pay our bills and buy our kids and us food. We did find that the relatives would be able to help with food, which I guess if that all they could help with that would have to be enough from them.
Even though I am a proud person, I am not above doing things that maybe I would not usually do. We still had to figure out how we were going to be able to pay our rent and utilities and other things that we need to pay for. We decided to try to keep it as normal as possible as we could for the kids. This was difficult but we were determined to try to do it. We had one source of constant income, which was my step sons' father was paying support. Now, this was one thing I tried never
