God created the earth in six days and in it found enjoyment and happiness. It is this same earth in which God found such happiness that we are destroying today. It is up to us as Christians and inhabitants of this planet to do our part to keep it safe and out of harms way. Though it is not a common sermon topic the protection of our planet is a serious topic. If you look deep into the scriptures there is heaps of evidence to support the fact that God wants up to protect this planet. Protecting our environment keeps the world healthy which brings happiness to God. For God created the earth and in it found joy. Humans and Christians especially need to do everything in their power to keep this planet safe. Christians should be at the forefront of environmental and green projects to benefit this planet.

In the news and the world today we hear so much negativity surrounding the environment, green projects, and the steps people are taking to try and improve our environment that we take it for granted what people are doing for our planet and their attempts to help go unnoticed. The question is, is there really any hope for our planet? Or is it doomed because we haven't taken the appropriate preventative actions to circumvent the problems we have caused in the past. I find it amazing that God personally knows every creature, not just every human." (Deem, 2009) The truth is that everything we touch, talk to, interact with, or live with is created by God and we should respect God's creation regardless of what or who it is and that includes this planet. "God is the creator of nature, not part of the nature. He transcends nature. All of nature, including man, is equal in its origin. Nature has value in and of itself because God created it. Nature's value is intrinsic; it will not change because the fact of its creation will not change. The rock, the tree, and the cat deserve our respect because God made them to be as they are." (Bohlin, 1992) The question of if God has something to do with the environment is redundant, God doesn't have something to do with the environment, God created the environment
