Nascar

Nascar was created in 1947 by a man named Bill France Sr., the first official race was held at the Daytona beach race course in 1948, Nascar is a family owned organization that has been passed down from Bill Sr. to Brian France his stepson in 2003. Nascar or (National Association of Stock Car Auto Racing) has many different types of racing, but the main three are Xfinity, Nationwide and Camping World Truck Series.

There are a lot of policies in Nascar car but some of the bigger ones would be Drugs, Speeding on Pit lane and Bumping. Like most sports Drugs in Nascar are just as strict as other sports if not pushed more than others, from experience, drivers struggle to go 400 laps at big tracks, so some drivers use substances to help them stay healthy during a race, but pot and other drugs are also tested for just as much. The reason the officials push speeding on pit lane is because it is a risk factor of hitting other cars pulling out of their pit box, the max speed getting on and off pit lane is 55mph, when a driver speeds on pit lane they are penalized a lap. Bumping is a big issue in Nascar because going almost 200mph and bumping somebody can be very bad, there have been wrecks where I has been fatal or very badly hurt so bumping is and immediate ejection.

A big issue in Nascar and has always been the biggest issue is the guard rails and barriers going around the track, there have been many wrecks where drivers are hitting top speeds of 200mph and hitting the wall and flipping up thru the guard rails and injuring fans in the stands, they’ve tried extending the barriers and using tougher wire in the guard rail but with racecars going that fast and hitting the rails won’t stop cars from going threw them, a fix to that would be to back the fans up to save lives and injuries from happening.
