An ethical case that I have encountered in my life that is of interest to me would be a situation that really put me in a bind. The situation consisted of few of my friends and I one night driving around and pulling into a gas station. Once we pulled into the gas station to get gas, my friend Joe and I went inside the convenient store to get something to drink. Since it was so late in the night, there was no one at the gas station besides the worker in the convenient store. When we walked in she was on the other side of the store mopping the floor. When I walked up to the soda fountain, my friend Joe turned to me and whispered, "we should steal a case of beer, she isn't looking." I did not know what to do or say to him after I heard what he said. In this situation all is could think of to say was no. I could not believe that he wanted to steal something just because he thought he could get away with it. I think that the best way to resolve this issue is to explain the consequences of what could happen if he would have been caught. He should also know that this situation was wrong, bad, and against the law. The good new is that I did talk him out of it and kept him, and potentially my other two friends and I from getting in trouble or possibly arrested.
