This is an evaluation of the presentation you gave dated November 28, 2012. Before evaluating ways in which you can improve, I will discuss your strengths and weaknesses. The overall presentation was very good. Your content, speaking style, style of your presentation, and length was of a high quality. You spoke very clearly, with good use of volume and a good pace. Your strong introduction helped the overall presentation remain structured. It is evident that you prepared thoroughly. Your use of body language, mainly your hands, worked well with your speech. Your conclusion was very strong and added to the overall quality of your presentation.

Your weaknesses are very minimal and can easily be fixed given more practice. For a majority of the presentation, you looked like you were reading your page. Moreover, you have a tendency to say "um" while figuring out what you want to say. You also have the tendency to look up at the sky when you are gathering your thoughts. Your analysis was too brief. Although I realize that you only have a minute and a half, there is time for at least two in-depth points. Your nervousness may be causing you to miss definite and indefinite articles. There was a lack of eye contact. Although you did not move your head, I did see your eyes move from time to time.

In order to build on sharpening your presentation skills, I would like you to consider the following points:

1. Pause. Instead of saying "um," you can just pause. It is perfectly fine to pause during your presentation.

2. Eye-Contact. It may be helpful to turn your head to make sure that you make eye-contact with the students in the far corner.

3. Definite and Indefinite Articles. When writing your speech, make sure that you write all the definite and indefinite articles because of your tendency to forget them when you get nervous.
