Ever since ancient times, mankind has been fascinated with trying to answer the question of where we came from. Many scientists and biologists have followed the footsteps of evolution, seeking to find the patterns that exist between Human beings and modern day apes. Continuous research and study have shown us that humans and chimpanzees share a near exact match in DNA patterns. Should this be true, then apes and humans must have all descended from the same common ancestor and, overtime, adapted to their habitats. Thanks to the recent discoveries of bones from ancient human ancestors, we can conclude that our species originated somewhere in eastern Africa some 200 000 years ago. Modern day humans have since long evolved from our ancestors in Africa, and are still evolving even to this date. The theory of evolution has made headlines and controversies, but most scientists agree, it has become the fundamental understanding of where we came from, and how we became who we are today.Evolution what is it? It is a word that gets tossed up a lot, but to me evolution is any change across successive generations in the heritable characteristics of biological populations. I would have to say that in a way I do believe that evolution is an important process in the development of our planet and all life form. There are many debates against evolving. One being, that scientists don't really know how life came to be. Stanley Miller, whose experiments are cited in most biology text books, says that the origin of life is still unknown. The idea that dead material can come to life all by itself is not consistent with scientific observation.[64]
If that is the case then where does life come from? Some say that it's intelligent design, but I would have to say that at some time in the distant past there was no life in the universe just elements and chemical compounds and lots of eruption on the planet earth Somehow, these chemicals combined and came to life.[64]
