Every little girl always has a memory of dressing up in their mothers clothes, heels, pearls and makeup. This is what usually will start their dreams of doing everything that fashion has to offer. There are so many different things to do involving clothing, accessories, shoes, fabrics and colors that could keep a fashionista entertained forever. Why not explore everything it has to offer.
When you decide to step into the fashion industry the question is what exactly are you going to explore. There are many different steps you can take into this industry. Each requires a certain degree and internships. To succeed in any aspect of this industry you must make it through the doors and keep focusing on staying right there.
One category of fashion careers is Design and Merchandising. This field tends to get the most focus. Every fashion career is focused around them. Designers work with assistant designers, illustrators, production artists, drapers, pattern makers and sample makers. They are able to be independent as well as successful but tend to branch out more with others. Merchandisers are the ones that bring these designer creations to us. They are in control of the chain of commands which contains store managers, assistant managers, department managers, visual display teams, buyers and assistant buyers. They pave the path for every career that surrounds fashion.
