Dear Editor,

A Lifetime of Fast Food has lead to many health problems for example obesity and diabetes. This danger starts before children enter Kindergarden. I hope to shape eating habits or change the eating habits of these children and adults by addressing this issue to you. Fast-food chains market heavily to children because they know they are easy targets. There is about 96% of American children who recognize Ronald McDonald on t.v. or other advertising.

Fast food restaurants are not good for our bodies and it does not allow children or adults to obtained energy, this is due to the amount of fat and grease in the fast food. Fast food is related to all kinds of obesity and health problems because of all the fat in the food. Obesity is when your body has more fat than it needs to have. Adults teach there children these bad habits by allowing their children to eat this food. People can go through the drive-thru without having to get out of their cars. Fast food places should allow people to know what they are getting themselves into before they eat it.

Instead of encouraging fast food to children, adults and families we would try buying local grown foods and organic food from supermarkets. These organic foods are a much healthier option and give you a lot of energy. Fruits and veggies have many victims and good sugars your body needs throughout the day to keep you energized which fast food on the other hand only makes you feel lazy and depressed. Also, by cooking your own meal you are able to know what you are actually putting into your body unlike fast food where we don't know where our meat or food is coming from. Many people should think before entering a fast food restaurant, think of the food that is being put
