MEMORANDUM

To: Mr. Grumpley

From: Users

Date: August 22, 2011

Subject: Filing Department Efficiency

Dear Mr. Grumpley:

Grumpley, Inc. has always been a company that paves its own way through the corporate jungle. This organization has made responsible decisions which has increased productivity while keeping the level of excellence above par. We believe there are ways to increase efficiency and morale within the organization while maintaining the expected fiscal budget.

Currently the Filing department has run into a lack of cabinet space to file documents effectively. Looking into the matter, we have a solution we think that would both increase productivity and morale within Grumpley, Inc. A discount is available through Hertz Furniture when purchasing certain cabinet models. The model we believe will work best for our current needs is the Full Pull Lateral Letter Legal File-5 Drawer (Hertz Furniture System). The model is priced well below the cost of other similar sized items while offering a 25 year warranty. The filing system is made of partially recycled metal which shows the companies' stance toward going green. The top level of the 5 drawer can be used to hold document binders for the companies' clients while the lower drawers can host bills and receipts by fiscal year.

This filing system will allow all documentation to be easily catalogued and collected saving countless hours for the department and creating a more open work environment. The new cabinets will make retrieving files for the entire organization a more fluid process when collaborating between departments.

We hope that you will take this under consideration when for ways to improve work performance and morale going forward.
