For question 2, an example for a resort in Mexico would be: Guests predominantly come from Canada, the US and Argentina....the reason I ask this question is because as a sales/marketing manager, you then know where to focus most of your attention to or even what countries you need to ramp up you efforts in order to generate more business. I am not looking for type of customer.
Environmental analysis is based on where the hotel is located but could also be from where you customers are coming from...for example....Singapore has very strict automobile policies which deter driving and encourage using public transportation due to environmental reasons. If your hotel is in a neighbouring country and most of your guests come from Singapore and used to drive, this affects you now (by the way, Singapore is an island so you can't really drive to another country!)
