1. Frank’s need for love was satisfied from his wife and his children. He did not have any problem with his family or his partner. Frank’s safety need was satisfied by his money that was earned from the chair factory. Frank was able to achieve self-actualization because he designed the back of the chairs and he was very proud of his skills.

2. Frank’s physiological needs such as sleep were not satisfied by a few conditions that he mentioned. According to the text, Frank had sleeping troubles because of his working hours in the chair factory. Sleeping is in the category of Maslow’s physiological needs so Frank had a deficiency of physiological needs.

3. After Frank was laid off at his job, his wife was still very supportive of him and always tried to encourage him to find another job and try to boost his self-esteem. There is a love type of relationship and it was equal. His wife would show love and support towards him at any cost where as Frank gave love and support to his wife and children.

4. Frank’s safety needs are highly deficient because he was fired from his job including his co-workers. T His wife still does not think any less of him and still encourages his to find another job but he thinks he is unable to find another job due to his lack of skills. By his negative thoughts, he would not be able to solve his issues and it would affect his needs or self-actualization.
