Mass media plays a vital role in providing information. And the information plays a crucial role in the progress and change of society .Without freedom of the mass media; it will not be able to provide real news. As a result, freedom of mass media is necessary. Especially in modern democratic country like Bangladesh it is must needed.
Freedom of press is a very important discussed issue in the world. The concept of freedom of press is very essential to the practices and beliefs of journalism. It is important that the press enjoys the amount of freedom it requires to discharge its duties properly. They have to follow some rules and regulations. The violation of any rule spoils the natural image of the press. Such senseless practices are known as yellow journalism. The people related to the press must ensure the fact that the press is working for the welfare of country. For the development of real democracy and for the establishment of democratic system there is no alternative of freedom of press.
