Functions of Management:

There are a total four ways that a management team has to operate a company the right way these are: planning, organizing, leading and controlling while it may not seem important to some people it is an essential part of any company, each role cannot work without the other.

Every business has what they call a chain of command and that includes managers. A management position in any type of companies is still ran the same; it does not matter if you have a catering business or a landscaping business; the manager job is still similar.

Planning:

This the beginning of all the steps a manager must obtain. As a manager you must figure out and determine the goals of your company. You can usually get this information from the company's objective to their customers. You should set an obtainable goal and make sure you implement this plan. Such as: for a manager for a landscaping business you would have to have different plans for different aspects of the business examples are a marketing plan, a hiring plan & a sales plan.

Organizing:

When you become managers you are looked upon for higher responsible this includes your organizational skills the way you place people and what they do. When you are doing the work schedule you should make sure that right amount of employees needed to run a particular shift. This is what will make or break a company. Making sure the each employee can fulfill their obligation, is very critical. If you do not have organized workplace, employees will example to follow.

Leading:

Sometimes it is thought that managing and being leader is the same thing but it's not. A person that is a manger does just that manages their employees; typically workers follow managers this is because he or she is the supervisor and in-charge of employees. An employee sees a leader as someone that gives them motivation, and guidance.

The controlling function:

This involves looking over the companies quality, makes sure everything is being done correctly. Being a manger you have to pay close attention to detail. For example, just say that you company wants to increase their client list within the next two months; the manager has to work with the employees
