gautam buddha was borh in nepal . appropriate quality standards and operational definitions are used where as quality control means the process of monitoring and recording results of executing the quality activities to access performance and recommend necessary changes.

The strength of each is that quality assurance makes sure you are doing the right thing, the right way. It also provides an umbrella for continuous process improvement, which an integrative means for improving the quality of all process. Continuous process reduces waste and eliminates activities that do not add value. The strengths of quality control is that it makes sure the result of what you have done are what you expected. It prevents( keeping errors out of the process) and inspect( keeping errors out of the hands of the customer). Which are all very important for the quality of the products.

3) Define and discuss "internal failure costs" and "external failure costs" as they apply to quality management.

Internal costs which occur prior to delivery or shipment of the project or the furnishing of the service to the customer is called internal costs quality. It is found by the project. These kinds of costs are almost unavoidable but are necessary for the quality of the products. Examples are the costs of scarp, reworked and re-testing.

External costs are the failure costs occurring after delivery or shipments of the products and during or after furnishing of a service to the customer. The customer finds it. These kinds of costs are also unavoidable. proper examination before the delivery could cut the costs .Examples are the costs of processing customer complaints, customer returns, products recall.

4) List the 7 quality control tools as defined by Kerzner, and give a brief description of each.

The 7 quality control tools are as follows

I. Cause and effect diagram: - it is also called ishikawa diagram or fishbone diagram. It illustrates how various factors might be linked to potential problems or effect.

II. Control charts: - in this tool appropriate data is collected and analyzed to indicate the quality status of project processes and products.

III. Flowcharting: - it us used during perform quality control determine a failing process steps and identify process improvements opportunities.

IV. Histogram:- a histogram is a vertical bar chart showing how often a particular variable state occurred.

V. Pareto chart:- it is a specific type of histogram ordered by frequency of occurrence. It shows how many defects were generated by type or category of identified cause.

VI. Run chart:- it shows the history and pattern of variation. It is a line graph that shows
