(CASE STUDY I )
1. MR RAM BALI MISHRA (RBM) WAS A RAW AND GREEN JAWAN . HE HAS TWO YEARS OF SERVICE RECORD AND HIS AGE WAS 20 .HE WAS TALL , FAIR AND WELL BUILT .HE HAD PLEASANT MANNERS AND WELL SPOKEN TO ALL .HE WAS A COMPLETE TEETOTALER AND A VEGETERIAN .HE WAS WELL EDUCATED AND WELL VERSED IN RELIGIOUS AFFAIRS PARTICULARLY OF THE RELIGION TO WHCH MST OF THE UNIT BELONGED .HE HAS NEVER SEEN A WAR IN HIS TWO YEAR OF SERVICE.
THE ABOVE DESCRIPTION ITSELF PROVES THAT RBM WAS A NATURE LOVING AND PEACE LOVING MEN. HE COULD NOT SEE HUMAN IN DANGER.HE KNEW THE BAD EFFCTS OF A WAR ON ENVIORMENT ,ECCONY , COSTS ETC .HE BELIVES THAT PEOPLE WOULD BE LOADED WITH SUFFERINGS ,KILLED ,INJURED ,MAIMED AND WOULD BECOME HOMELESS .THE CHILDREN WOULD BECOME ORPHANS ,WOMEN WIDOWED AND THE HUMANITY WOULD SUFFER. HE ADVISED AND TRIED TO CONVINCE THE RMO TO MAKE ALL ATTEMPTS TO STOP THE WAR AND IF HE COULD AT LEAST OPPOSE IT .
THE ABOVE MENTIONED POINTS ARE THE CAUSE OF FEAR IN RBM .
2. RBM WAS JUST 20 YEARS OF OLD AND HE HAD A SERVICE OF ONLY TWO YEARS IN THE ARMY . HE HAD NEVER SEEN A WAR . HIS NATURE WAS TOTTALY DIFFERENT IF YU COMPARE WITH A SOLDIER . . RBM HAD A PLESANT MANNER , TURNED HISELF OUT WELL AND WELL SPOKE WELL . HE WAS COMPLETELY TEETOTALER , NON VEGETERIAN AND NON SMOKER / HE WAS WELL EDUCATED AND WELL VERSED IN RELIGIOUS AFFAIRS , PARTICULARLY OF THE RELIGION TO WHICH MOST OF THE UNIT BELONGED THIS WAS HIS NATURE , BUT WHEN THE WAR NEWS AWAS ANNOUNCED HE WAS VERY MUCH UPSET .
IT WAS NOTICED THAT RBM HAD DEVLOPED A FEAR FOR THE UPCOMING WAR . HE DEVLOPED CONSTIPATION , ATE VERY LITTLE , FELT TIRED AFTER WALKING EVEN A FEW HUNDERED YARDS AND HAD BECOME WEAK .HE ALSO LOOKED PALE AND WORRIED .HE WAS LESS TALKTIVE , LESS LIVELY AND HIS INTERACTION WITH OTHER JAWANS DECRESASED . HE STARTED KEEPING ALOOF EXCEPT WHERE HIS DUTIES WARRANTED INTERACTION WITH OTHERS.
THESE WERE THE SYMPTOMS DISPALYED BY RBM .
3. RBM’S VIRTUE OF THE NATURE AND TIMINGS OF HIS DUIES WAS GIVEN TO HIM AND HE WAS HAPPY WITH SAME. HE WAS EXCUSED PHYSICAL TRAINING IN THE MORINING AND GAMES IN THE VENING WHICH ALL OTHER JAWANS OF THE SUB UNIT ATTENDED . AFTER A SHORT SOAN OF WEEK THE OFFICER NOTICED SOME CHANGES IN THE BEHAVIOUR OF RBM . HE ALSO LOOKED PALE AN WORRIED , HE WAS LESS TALKTIVE AND LESS LIVELY WHICH WAS NT HIS NATURE . HIS DUTIES WARRANTED INTERACTION WITH OTHERS .
THE OFFICER TRIED TO POBR FURTHER TO FIND OUT IF SOME GUILT WAS BOTHERING HIM BECAUSE OF SOME BAD HABBIT WHICH YOUNG MAN OF HID AGE IS LIKELY TO FALL PEY TO , IN THE ABSENCE OF EVEN VISUAL CONTACT OF CIVIL LIFE AND MEMBERS OF THE OPPOSITE SEX . THIS WAS DENIED BY RBM. AFTER A WEEK OR SO IT WAS NOTICED THAT RBM HAD DEVLOPED CONSTIPATION ATE VERY LITTLE , FELT TIRED AFTER WALKING EVEN A FEW HUNDRED YARDS AND HAD BECOME WEEK . HE WAS INTERVIEW BY TH EOFFICER BUT NOTHING EMERGED YARDS AND HAD BECOME WEAK . HE WAS INTERVIWED BY TH EOFFICER BUT NOTING EMERGED ONCE AGIN HE WAS SENT TO THE REGIMENTAL MEDICAL OFFICER (RMO). THE RMO INSPECTED HIM AND GAVE HIM SOME MEDICINES .ON BEING CONTACTED BY THE OFFICER THE RMO MENTIONED THAT THERE WAS NOTHING WROG WITH HIM MEDICALLY BUT HE WAS MENTALLY DISTURBED.HE WAS SACRED OF THE PROSPECTS OF WAR .HE EVEN DISCLOSED THAT AFTER HAVING BEEN MEDICALLY EXAMINED RBM EVEN STARTED GIVING A DISCOUSRE TO THE RMO ON THE BAD EFFECTS OF A WAR ON ENVIORMENT , ECONOMY , COSTS ETC . HE STATED THAT PEOPLE WOULD BE LOADED WITH SUFFERINGS , KILLED , MIAMAED AND WOULD BECOME HOMELSS. THE CHILDREN WOULD BECOME ORPHANS,WOMEN WIDOWED , AND HE HUMANITY WOULD SUFFER . HE ALSO ADVISED THE RMO TO MAKE ALL ATTAMPTS TO STOP WAR AND IF HE COULD AT LEAST OPPOSE IT . AFTER A BREIF CONVERSTAION , THE RMO WAS CONVINCED THAT ALL THE SYMPTOMS POINTED TO FEAR PSYCHOSIS OF WAR .
THIS IS HOW RMO CAME TO KNOW ABOUT THE FEAR RMB HAD ABOUT THE WAR.
4.THE ACTION TO BE TAKEN TO AVOID BUILDING UP OF FEAR AMONG THE TROOPS SHOULD BE AS FOLLOWS :
LEADERSHIP IS INFLUENCE .LEADERSHIP IS THE ART OR PROCESS OF INFLUENCNG PEOPLE SO THAT THEY WILL CONTRIBUTE WILLINGLY .ADN WHOLE HADLY TOWARDS THE ACHIEVEMENT OF GROPU GOALS .IDEALY PEOPLE SHOULD BE ENCOURAGED TO DEVLOP NOT ONLY ZEAL AND CONFIDENCE.ZEAL IS INTENSITY IN THE EXCUTION OF WORK. CONFIDENCE REFLECTS EXPERIENCE AND TECHNICAL ABILITY . LEADERS HELP A GROUP TO ATTAIN OBJECTIVES THROUGH THE MAXIMUM APPLICTIONS OF ITS CAPABILITES . THEY DO NOT STAND BEHIND A GROUP BUT THEY INSPIRE THE GROUP TO ACCOMPLISH ORGANISATIONAL GOALS A GOOD EXAMPLE IS AN ORCHESTRA LEADER , WHOSE FUNCTION IS TO PRODUCE COORDINATED SOUND AND CORRECT TEMPO THROUGH THE INTEGRATED EFFORTS OF THE MUSCICIANS DEPNEDED ON THE QUALITY OF DIRECTORS LEADERSHIP , THE ORCHESTRA WILL RESPOND. THE ACTION TO BE TAKEN TO AVOID BUILDING UP OF FEAR AMONG THE TRROPS SHOULD BE AS FOLLOWS.
- MOTIVATING EMPLOYEES : EMPLOYEES SHOULD BE MOTIVATED IN ALL THE PHASES OF WORK .IT IS A VERY GOOD METHOD TO KEEP THEM LIVE.
- LEADER DEVELOPS TEAM WORK : A GOOD LEADER DEVLOPS A TEAM WORK , WITHOUT A TEAM WORK A TEAM CANNOT ACCOMPLISH T’S GOAL .
- CREATING CONFIDENCE TO FOLLOWERS : WE HAVE TO KEEP ON CREATING CONFIDENCE TO THE OUR FOLLOWERS , SO AS TO KEEP OUR GOALS ALIVE .
- BUILDING MORALE: EVERY TEAM SHOULD HAVE THEIR MORALES IN LIFE , A PEROSN SHOULD A HAVE A MORALE IN HIS LIFE FOR ATTANG HIS GOALS.
THE ABOVE MENTIONED ARE THE METHODS TO AVOID FEAR AMONG THE TROOPS WHICH WAS ALSO FOLLOWED BY THE OFFICER T MAKE APANDIT TURN INTO FAUZI.

2. THE PRINCIPAL ENGAGEMENT OF THE UNION WITH THE MANAGEMENT IS THRIUGH THEIR ACTION LIKE LOBBYING, POLITICS AND THE COMMUNITY WHICH EXTENDS TO STRIKE , AGITAIONS AND LEGAL APPROACH .STRIKES BECAME IMPORTANT DURING THE INDUSTRIAL REVOLUTIN , WHEN MASS LABOUR BECAME IMPORTANT IN FACTORIES AND MINES WHLE LEGL APPROACH I THE LATEST TRENDS WHICH IC PICKING UP AT FASTER PACE.
BELOW MENTIONE ARE THE SOME OF THE MERITS :
1.ONE OF THE POSITIVE EFFECTS CAN BE INCRASE IN PRODUCTIVITY AS APART FROM LOWER QUIT RATES , EXISTENCE OF UNION ENSURSE BETTER MANAGEMENT .
2.UNIONS CAN IMPROVE EFFICIENCY BY PUTTING PRESSURE ON MANAGEMENT TO TIGHTEN JOB PRODUCTION STANDERDS AND ACCOUNTABILITY IN ORDER TO PRESERVE PROFIST IN THE FACE OF HIGHER WAGES .
