In today's world, we have got to take some chances. Globalization is an area in which we must take a change. Globalization, thought of long term is an area in which one must take a chance. In any situation there is both negative and positive feedback, and in the case of globalization, I choose to focus on the positive feedback. The word of God says, "But meat commendeth us not to God: for neither, if we eat, are we the better; neither, if we eat not, are we the worse. But take heed lest by any means this liberty of yours become a stumbling block to them that are weak. For if any man sees thee which hast knowledge sit at meat in the idol's temple, shall not the conscience of him which is weak be emboldened to eat those things which are offered to idols." 1 Corinthians 8:8-10 (KJV) This passage of scripture is a reminder that as leaders, there are individuals who follow what is being done and said by a leader. As such it is up to the leader to decide in which direction to take this world.
There are many advantages of globalization. Globalization makes the economy of one country dependent on the economy of the other country. If there is any change in the economy of one country than it will affect the other country. This causes the governments of the different countries to be more concerned about each other in order to fix the improper balance of economics that's happening between the two countries. David Ricardo, an economist, said that "productivity rises more quickly when countries produce goods and services for which they have a natural talent." (Lawrence, A., Weber, J., 2011, pg. 131) This leads to increases in economics productivity. Despite the many flaws that globalization seem to have, it will lead to prosperity in the end. Globalization will also lead to a more equitable income that is spread out between countries. (Mukherjee N, Krieckhaus J, 2012)
Another advantage of globalization is that it reduces prices for consumers. (Lawrence, A., Weber, J., 2011, pg. 132) When local stores purchase products that you and I can afford it is a very good thing. Walmart is one of the local stores that get its products from all over the world.
This has allowed them to have lower prices that you and I can afford. Globalization has given us access to a many different goods and services. Now people in different countries can enjoy the latest movies that the United States has provided and we, as Americans, can enjoy the new game consoles from the other countries.
God made us so that we can freely choose what choices we will make. One of the choices that we have is to, "Do to others as you want them to do to you." Luke 6:31 (NIRV) Sometimes it seems that the rich keep getting richer and the poor keep getting poorer. But God has put in place people, places, and things for the poor and the outcast.
