Got Milk Advertisements
"Got Milk" advertisements are seen everywhere in billboards, signs, magazines,
newspapers, televisions, and computers. They are trying to show that the calcium in milk
keeps bones strong and helps prevent osteoporosis. Most of these ads use popular celebrities
to help sell their products. They also use logos, pathos, and ethos aspects that attract different
types of consumers. I'm going to compare how Frankie Muniz and Usher use ethos and pathos in
different ways to help sell milk.
In this advertisement Frankie Muniz uses ethos and pathos to help sell milk. He's well known as a famous actor. Frankie has performed in comedy shows and many different types of movies. Most of his audiences are teenagers and little kids. He uses pathos by being shirtless, showing his strong muscles and funny milk mustache.
On the other hand Usher uses ethos and pathos differently from Frankie to help sell milk. Usher is a worldwide known R&B singer. Most of his followers are teenage girls and young adults. In this advertisement he's wearing a really nice outfit. He uses pathos by showing us that big smile surrounded by a milk mustache and his sex appeal body. At the same it looks like he's having a good time singing.
Although they're both "got milk" advertisements I think that Frankies' is better because he's showing how strong his muscles are by drinking milk while Usher is just standing there singing. Frankie's advertisement is the message they're trying to send to their consumers. One thing they both express using logos is the health benefits of drinking milk. Remember that these advertisements are made for everyone it doesn't matter how old you are.
