My topic will be concerning the new Legislation that passed called the Affordable health care act. My question is should government have a say on our health care? I believe that government has too much emphasis in our lives, affection many decisions that we make as individuals. This legislation will have ramifications on our lives and our children's lives, also huge affect on our economy. There will be more question than the ones provided when I tackle this project, but here is just a few question I hope to shed light on with my topic. What does affordable healthcare mean? What type of cuts will be needed to keep all Americans on a national health care plan? Our president proclaimed that we will be able to keep our current health plan if we wanted it, but given the fact that government health plans will be a lot cheaper due to decrease benefits many employers will be forced to accept the new government plan to save money.
I will be incorporating my research from prominent news organizations, governmental officials, CBO, and other sources to make the case that we do not need government hands in our health care. Individuals and Doctors should the only influences in one's decision making for health care. I know that there are a lot of Americans that go a without health care yearly, some choose to go without due to situations in their life. There are many that are poor that cant afford excess cost for insurance. There has to be a better way.
