Key Terms Word 1:

 AutoCorrect- A feature that automatically corrects common typing errors.

 Auto Complete- A feature that automatically inserts dates and other regularly used items.

 Margin- The space between the page content and the edges of the page.

Key Terms Word 2:

 Alignment- The way the text of a paragraph lines up horizontally between the margins.

 Toggle Buttons- A button (such as the bold button) that you can click once to turn on, and then click to turn off.

 Theme- Designed collection of formatting options that include colors, graphics, and background options.

Key Terms Word 3:

o Cell- The area in a table where a row and column intersect.

o Endnote- An explanatory comment or reference that appears at the end of a document.

o Portrait Orientation- A type of page orientation in which the page is taller than it is wide.

Key Terms Word 4:

Anchoring- To attach a graphic or other object to a paragraph.

Bitmap- Type of file that stores an image as a collection of tiny dots, which when is displayed on a computer monitor or printed on a page, make up a picture.

Blog Post- Similar to an entry in a journal.

Key Terms Excel 1:

 Cell Reference- The address of a cell indicating its column and row location

 Chart Sheet- A new sheet that is automatically inserted into the workbook, occupies the entire document window, and provides more space and details for chart.

 Delete- To remove a cell or cells from a worksheet, shifting the remaining worksheet cells into the space previously occupied by the deleted cell or cells.

Key Terms Excel 2:

 Data Bar- A horizontal bar added to the background of a cell whose length reflects the cells value.



 Excel Table- A range of data you can as a distinct object in a worksheet.

 Format Painter- A button on the ribbon when selected copies a format from one cell range to another.

Key Terms Excel 3:

 AutoFill- An excel tool that enables you to copy the contents of the selected cells by dragging the fill handle over another adjacent cell or range of cells rather than using copy and paste commands.

 Financial Function- A category of excel functions that calculate values from loans and investments.

 IF function- A logical function that returns one value if the statement is true and returns a different value if the statement is false.
