A valid argument is known to be truth-preserving. If two examples given are reasonable that leads to the conclusion also being reasonable as well. A sound argument must be valid and its premises must be true. An example is when the terrorists attacked on 9/11 they attacked us first and we then took it upon ourselves to attack them back. If we would of attacked them first they would of then attacked up back as well. Either way one was going to attack the other no matter who attacked who first which shows that no matter how you put it the conclusion or outcome will be a valid statement. These sentences show that they are valid, but not necessarily sound. As president his value for a valid argument is clear due the fact he makes the calls and decisions even if his statements aren't exactly sound. A valid argument is known to be truth-preserving.
