Introduction

In the health care field there are a lot of different jobs that are available for people. With those jobs come job descriptions, experiences, education, and so forth. This particular subject is to select a career of his or her choice. The career chosen is medical record and health information technician. Then give a brief description of that job and identify services and products within the selected career. Then there should also be a description of the role each product and services play and how each role impacts the health care organizations.

Describe Selected Career

The chosen career is Health Information Technician. Assembling and processing health information of patients. They also make sure patient charts are completed by identifying the information properly and making sure all forms are signed. Each facility ensures that the patient information is entered into electronic medical records when they use health information technology. Communication between health information technician and other health care professionals is done on a regular basis clarifying the diagnosis and to obtain information needed. They may work as part of the administration staff in doctor offices, hospitals, and other facilities that are health care related with the minimum requirements an associate degree.

Identify two or services and products within the selected career

There are several services and products within the selected career and they all focus on something different within the health care field. The services and products chosen were entering of data on each patient, assigning patients to diagnosis-related groups (DRG), using classification systems, transcribing medical reports, and retrieving medical records of patients for physician and other medical personnel (Bureau of Labor Statistics, 2012).

Identify the workforce roles within the services and products

The services and products role dealing with the health information technician is somewhat similar, but have their own differences at the same time. Entering the patient's data in the computer plays a major role especially when making sure everything has been signed and completed. Protecting the privacy of each patient is a requirement for any field or career choice. The role of the diagnosis-related group is to determine the money insurance companies will contribute
