1. "I am human; therefore nothing human is alien to me."

I believe this reflects the understanding that humans are capable of both good and great evil. In this case it is talking about the horrible things that humans did during the Holocaust, but there is also very good people who always want to help everyone that they can.

2. "Not all are guilty, but all are responsible"

This is showing that not all the people in Germany and other Nazi countries were part of the Nazi's and the Nazi's may be the only ones that are guilty of the crimes, but all who knew of the horrors going on in the concentration camps were responsible for not doing their part to help.

3. "The Holocaust occurred not because of what bad people did, but rather what good people didn't do."

This again describes how the Nazi's were at fault for the Holocaust, but the good people who were not Nazi's should have step in to the best of their power or gotten stronger powers such as the united states to step in sooner.

4. Reflect: Balance

I do not believe that any amount of good can balance the evil and cruel things that happened during the Holocaust, but humans have done other extraordinary things for the world and human rights that do help to show that we are capable of good. Since the Holocaust there has been evil things done in places around the world but there has not been anything close to as evil or on such a large scale. Hopefully now that the world has learned about the horrors of the Holocaust and seen how bad it really is something like it will never happen again.
