As the sun takes its rightful place, students gather in the growing shadow of the flag pole. This annual gathering of students, teachers and family alike takes place on the fourth Wednesday of September and is known as the global day of prayer, or See You at the Pole. See You at the Pole is a visual representation of the care and love students have for each other here, as well as the unique friendships they hold with teachers as well. Freshmen Katie Brooke worded the event as such; "it was an amazing experience to pray with other believers and fellow classmates, to all come together and pray to God, I thought was really cool" As the crowd gathered, Senior and SGA Chaplain Gabriel Murgueytio ushered Mrs.Gilstrap to come and lead in worship. In the corner of Drew Street, for all to see, the student body along with faculty and a percentage of the church family sings out in focused harmony despite the sounds of the morning commute. Senior Eli Zuspan was surprised by the worship and stated after; "This is my third high school and the first to have worship at See You at the Pole. Personally I have a deeper connection to music. I was able to attain a deeper and more intimate prayer because of the worship" See You at Pole represent the power of prayer as students join the global net of believers and collectively bow their heads to the Father.
