In the past when there where just house phones around and people could say they wasn't at home but, now with cell phones people can get a hold of you some kind of way. Cell phones are considered to be your own personal property while house phones are like for you and also the people in your family that live with you. Cell phones depend on a satellite and signal, which means anyone can take their cell phones anywhere with them, while a house phone depends on the wires in the house which you can't take to far from the house and somebody in your family can listen in on your conversation.
