Good morning to everyone and Pn Kanchana. Today, I’m going to present to you some little tips to improve your life.
Do you find yourself feeling frustrated on a daily basis? Do you feel like a zombie, waking up each day to the same repetitive cycle that seems never-ending? Has the quality of your life decreased over time, resulting in a loss of energy, vitality, and enthusiasm for the future?
A few years ago, on a morning like any other, I had a sudden realization: I was in danger of wasting my life. As I stared out the rain-spattered window of a bus, I saw that the years were slipping by.
“What do I want from life?” I asked myself. “Well…I want to be happy.” I had many reasons to be happy: I have my friends and family who are always being there with me, I woke up every morning with eyes that can see and limbs that can function well, I can eat and fooling around with people. There are times when people asked me, how can I be so carefree? Now, let me share with you some tips on how to improve your life by being happy.
Rule number one, Smile, even when stressed. The effects of smiling on stress have been well-documented. Smiling helps to send a strong impulse to the mind, which then alters your neurochemistry. If you can’t force yourself to smile, put a pencil in your mouth and the natural curvature of your mouth will help you to engage s standard smile. Try this for 15 to 20 minutes per day. You’ll be surprised, even if you feel depressed, on just how much this elevate your mood.
Second, Be grateful, and pass it on. Fall asleep thinking about all the things you’re grateful for. If you focus on what you don’t have, you will be unhappy and attract negativity. Be grateful for what you have and you will be attract positivity, opportunity and success. Say “thank you” even for the tiniest of things or favours or actions. For example, say thank you to the cleaners who cleans your hostel everyday. It will remind you to be continuously grateful.
Next, let yourself write. Write out your fears, write out your dreams, write out your frustrations, write out your insecurities, write out your happiness. Write something random, write something stupid, write something that doesn’t make any sense. Trust me, you will feel that tons of weight being released after you write out all your thoughts. You can have a diary and write down your feelings everyday. You will find it funny and heart warming if you read it after somedays.
Furthermore, Don’t feel guilty for taking a little mini-breaks throughout the work day. Even if it’s as small as walking into the kitchen to get a glass of water, your brain deserves a couple seconds of solace from your computer screen. Go for a short escape, two days one night trip to places around the country. Let your mind relax and you will function even more well in your duty. Not forget to give yourself the kind of sleep you deserve too, that means more than five or six hours.
In addition, be around people who make you laugh so hard that you cry. Put energy into the freindships with people who give you as much as you give them. It doesn’t have to be a measuring contest, but the types of friendships you deserve are the ones in which they’re willing to make as much effort as you. Walk away from relationships where you’re made to feel like you’re not good enough, like you need to change. Just remember, you are the one and only.
