HSBC is one of the world's leading banks. The bank history goes back to the 1865 which was the era where the bank was established. The HSBC group is named after its founding member, The Hong Kong and Shanghai Banking Corporation Limited. Thomas Sutherland who saw the banking need of banking where people wanted between Hong Kong and on the China coast he helped to establish the bank which opened in Hong Kong in March 1865 and in Shanghai a month later. HSBC Holdings plc. is a public limited company registered in England and Wales under Company Register Number 6.17987 and with its registered office at 8, Canada Square,London,England.
HSBC was opened for business in Sri Lanka on the 1st July 1892.the bank got over 10,000 officers across 83 countries with a customer base exciting 125 million. HSBC has 15 branches across the nation of Sri Lanka. All these branches got 24/7 access through ez pay machines, ATM's.
