"I am" exercise

I have done a lot of thinking, and the longer my lists got, the more I thought that I could not only use one word to describe myself for each characteristic. So I used two. My boyfriend Jarrod is the one I chose to do this exercise with, so when I say "Jarrod", that is who I am referring to.

I AM- HAPPY and REALISTIC. These are my traits. I try to make things as easy and understanding as possible, as I am a very calm and happy person. I do not expect or do things in life that I think are impossible, nor do I think others should have to. I like to please others, as I am usually easily pleased, and it takes a lot to upset me, since I try to put a positive spin on things. Jarrod agrees that I am understanding of others feelings, and not too pushy, but that I also get my point across when needed. He says I can always put him in a better mood after a long hard day.

I AM- STRONG and DEDICATED. These are my strengths. I may put things off sometimes, but when I start something, especially for others, I do it and do it right the first time. Jarrod says that I stand behind what I believe in, and keep my chin up with a positive attitude through everything.

I AM- DEFENSIVE and INDECISIVE. These are my weaknesses. I tend to deny bad feedback that others give me about myself, even though it comes from the heart, and can usually help me communicate better with that person. It is sometimes hard for me to make up my mind on things, unless I absolutely already have my heart set on it. Jarrod and I kind of share the same opinion on this one. He says, when it's time to get serious, and talk about problems, it is hard for me to accept the negative, and decision making is not always easy for us to do together.

I AM- SILLY and AFFECTIONATE. I love to be free and have fun with friends and family. I love to make others laugh by being goofy. Laughter is great, and I feel free of stress when I can just be me and not have to worry about what others think. I love to be loved, and showered with affection. It makes me feel great to show others how much they mean to me, and absolutely love it when they show it back. I was surprised to hear Jarrod say that I am always the one to lighten up the room with a good laugh, because usually he is not the one laughing, usually he kind of
