Ideolect Case

My idiolect I feel is one that varies depending on who I'm talking to, for example if I am talking to a to my parents or another adult I will do my best to use as much formal language and to a certain extent cut out as much slang as possible. On the other hand if I was with friends and people I feel much more comfortable with I still tend to use 'proper' English but may use slang every now and then and I start to you lots more ellipsis and elision. When I get into a conversation with someone I'm friendly with but not necessarily friends with I start to use a lot of phatic language I use it almost as if it were large filler between conversations. I am also bilingual so there for I tend to code switch a lot especially when talking to my parents as I tend to feel for comfortable and dont want to exclude them from conversations if they dont know a few words in English very well. Overall I tend to use slang a loy more that 'proper English' and people may percieve me as being quite lazy and a bit rebelious because of my use of slang. Saying that I feel the I use slang to 'fit in with the crowd' ans socially include myself as I am very easily influenced.
