  1. Should employers have the right to ban or restrict smoking by their employees at the workplace? Why do u think so?

Answer:

Employers shouldn’t have the right to restrict or ban smoking by their employees off Business would be able to dictate employee conduct. Some awareness has to be created among the employs about the health effects of nicotine and alcohol. Smoking affect businesses especially service sector.so the workplace should have designated smoking areas.

  1. Should employers have the right to ban or restrict smoking by their employees off the job, as weyco did? Why do you think so?

Answer:

Employers shouldn’t have the right to restrict or ban smoking by their employees off the job as off the job smoking is their own decision and banning it would restrict their freedon.But the employers should charge employees more for health insurance because it is proven that smoking has an intense negative effect on health.it can be helpful if designated smoking areas are being used in the workplace.

  1. Should the government regulate smoking at work? If so, what would be the best policy? Why do you think so?

Answer:

Government should not be able regulate what private business smoking policies are. Designated smoking areas must be 25 feet away from the main lobby. Also possible alternatives methods should be followed like promoting E-Cigs.so everyone should be aware of coworkers who are non-smokers.

  1. Should multinational firms have a single corporate policy on smoking in the work-place, or vary their policies depending on local laws and norms of behaviour in various countries where they do business?

Answer:

No, because the corporate policy should stand for what the firm stands by itself. Employs can lose trust in the firm and also employs start feeling o be treated unfair. As a unique code of ethics there should be an unquiet corporate policy.
