The MBA program of International Business School is life changing experience for participating students. It not only sets them apart from the rest but also gives them a genuine edge, be it in successfully climbing the corporate ladder, fulfilling their dream of creating an entrepreneurial venture or embarking on global career in entirely new sector. This exactly is the picture portrayed by the alumni (from past 4 years) through the recently concluded e-survey, summarized below -

1. A brand new future with lasting career impact

Many MBA students are hired at increased level of responsibility and seniority post MBA. At the same time, many students are also able to pursue their dreams by following path of entrepreneurship as evident from the data presented below -

* Most of IBS graduates choose to work in the corporate world, with roughly equal preference for joining Medium Capitalization (35%) and Large Capitalization (37%) companies. Remaining 28% graduates follow their dreams to become entrepreneurs.

In terms of gender preference, most Males (44%) choose to join Large Capitalization companies, but a relatively large number from this group (36%) chooses to move in entrepreneurial direction. However among Females, Medium Capitalization companies find favor with a high 58% opting to join them, but still 16% Female students become entrepreneurs.

* For students from "Science", "Economics/Business" and "Arts" background, the preference among three sectors is quite balanced in line with general trend detailed above. (26%-35%-38%)

Students with "Engineering" background prefer to go to Large Capitalization companies (47%), while students from "Other" background have quite balanced tendency in joining any of these three sectors. (31%-39%-31%)

While most students belonging to Male-Science group (57%) prefers to join Large Capitalization companies, almost 50% Males from "Arts" and "Other" background prefer to start on their own. For the Female students, educational background hardly plays any role in deciding about post-MBA employment sector. (A6 - Appendix1, Worksheet 2)

* From the perspective of experience, Male's from Low and High experience group (25% each of total) moves towards entrepreneurship and Large Capitalization companies respectively. Remaining 50% Males from Medium experience group prefers to join Medium Capitalization companies. (A6 - Appendix1, Worksheet 3)

On the contrary, only Females from Medium experience group have entrepreneurial inclinations (xx %). Irrespective of their experience group, most Females prefer to join Medium Capitalization companies (xx %).
