IPods are very educational devices and the local school board is taking votes on whether they are educational enough for school. I believe that it would be a great improvement in the schools today. IPods have many apps on them and can do more than meets the eye, almost as much as computes can.
IPods can be easily used as an academic tool as it can be used as a toy. It would not be hard to come up with ways to integrate them into classrooms. Their apps are very useful and surprisingly, even the music is helpful during work time. I find that listening to music calms me down and thus become better at school work. When my ears are plugged up though, I don't want to listen to other as much and keep my mind occupied on the music so i can concentrate on my work instead of my environment.
As we get close to graduation teacher feel that it's best to get ready for college by taking notes form what they say. IPods can be used to record lectures in class and listen to when reviewing for exams. This is also favorable when the teacher talks to fast you can just rewind and listen again. If you like taking notes and can understand what they are saying it has note pads and you can take notes and save. If someone if absent for the day you can send them the notes or the recorded lectures.
Students can install educational applications such as dictionaries and calculators thus eliminating added bulk to our backpacks and lockers. IPods are a lot smaller than computers you can put them in your pocket but you still can get internet like a computer can. The books we have can be downloaded to our iPods and we wouldn't need books at all. We wouldn't really need tutoring for class we can just get the tutor apps for whatever class we are behind in.
