Kids today are very irresponsible when it comes to life today in many facets of the meaning. Now let's look at my daughter for an example. One of the first ways students try to escape responsibilities, is by not trying in school and making excuses for their rationale to life's moments, by not trying in school and getting bad grades. They sit and try to blame others for their screw-ups and shortcomings. Are they forgetting that their parents were young at one time and tried to use the same excuses? They want to wander the streets until the late hours of the night, and not doing their homework, taking the necessary time to prepare for the next school day. Now that she is 18, and getting bad grades, she wants to move back to Germany, where she thinks life will be so much easier. Another thing she is irresponsible with is finding a job. My wife and I have told her time and time again to, "Find a job". We will not support her running the streets and blowing her life away. Her excuses are, "I looked", "or "I went to where one of my friends works, but they are not hiring at this time". It eventually came down to me saying, "to work here on this small a**post, you have to be determined. A lot of the kids here are high school students and probably got the same speech you are getting". There are only so many places you can look with no experience, but she thinks she is a Rocket scientist, and a job will land in her lap. It has come to the point, to where she doesn't receive any money anymore, except for hygiene products and things of that nature. Like Forrest Gump said," Life is like a box of chocolates, you never know what you're going to get inside.
