Is society becoming more ethical?

In Foster's article, he conveys that "Ethics is about good and bad, or good and evil". From the course and articles reading this week I have learned that many in today's society is unable to clearly define "ethics", and perhaps calls right and wrong behavior a "voice of opinion". From watching the news and reading past historic articles about things that has occurred around the globe, I believe that some would agree that today's society is somewhat more ethical than it has been in the past.

In today's society, striving to be ethical can sometimes be very challenging. For some, temptations are much too strong and the fear of failure is significant. Obviously, these are just a few. Ethics is not always about having good intentions or feeling sensitive to a certain situation; it is about the relations you establish with others. It is about virtue, according to Montaigne "virtue means something greater and more active than letting oneself, by a happy disposition, be led gently and peacefully in the footsteps of reason".

No society becomes unethical overnight in contrast no society will become ethical overnight. In my opinion the concept of having a more ethical society is to put hard work, great character, great ideas, and honesty & integrity together.
