Japan Goes Bananas
Diets are hard to come by. Making or breaking a habit takes twenty days; once you get past that it's a breeze. In japan most women are slim and take part in any dies. When diets get into the media more people heard about it and about the weight loss. Especially if that person lost a great amount. Once they get started on a diet they can't stop and that just spreads. The grocery stores have been empty because everyone is trying this new diet. Retailers have to cope with big change like that. Businesses always have to be prepared for anything happening in the economy, which is very important. Expecting the unexpected is essential. Usually bananas don't sell well in the summer, but because of the new diet the demand for bananas has risen. This then leads to the company having a larger supply count. Then coping to the change is difficult as well.
This diet is like any other. Many restrictions apply. Eat bananas for breakfast then lunch and dinner. No desserts or fatty snacks. This helps increase metabolism and eventually over time helps you lose weight. I think this is a very easy convenient diet. Not too much work has to be done; it's cheap, and easy to do. Companies boost sales by airing television commercials. Advertisements play a big part in sales. Letting everyone know what you are selling and having a familiar face to show it is a great deal. That's how the banana diet became so popular and that flew sales for bananas.
Maintaining the regular calorie count diet is hard to deal with because it takes so much time. Most people are too busy on the go to keep up with anything like that. They then eat what they want and more think about consequences. People are continuously looking for diets and ways to slim down after gaining. This diet was perfect for some. Because bananas take so long so grow and harvest this change is hard to deal with. Supplies have to find ways to deal with a lot of emergency situations. This means doing anything to get your merchandise. From shipping in bananas from other countries or growing them locally is has to be done. Bananas need certain time to harvest and having suppliers have a hard time finding them means they put in extra work, which then means raising prices for bananas. This makes up for the works and shortages that have taken place. This is no different, such as other diets have taken place but do not last for long. This has happened so often with other products that they almost know how to handle it. Different diets are only in the spare of the moment. Most people know it will not last for long. The next problem is, knowing not to order too much whereas after the diet you then have a surplus of the item. Everything will then go to waste and become a waste of money. This is a cycle that most companies know how to handle it. The same thing will happen again years later with the next big, in the moment product.
