John 1: 47-51 : Jesus Calls Philip and Nathanael

(based from the BEC Youth Bible)

“And he said to them, “I am telling you the truth: you will see heaven open and God’s angels going up and coming down on the Son of Man.”

- John 1: 51

We are heartened to believe with God’s power to have an intense hold over all things. Almighty as He undoubtedly is, His majesty shall be proclaimed by all the heavens and earth. To doubt in the absence of proof is just natural on human’s nature yet to have faith even without perceiving any evidence is supernatural in context. How blessed are the ones who are overlooking what their naked eyes are able to catch sight of for they are equipped with the faculty to see more of God than those who merely remain conditional to what others may possibly tell so as for them to start trusting Jesus. God doesn’t pose any restriction to reveal and share himself and His Son to us. In fact, Jesus Christ is on a gesture of saying that God loves us so deeply that He wanted us to be made known of all the things which He knows about His Father --- and that assurance is: God has prepared for us a special place in His kingdom where we will spend the rest of our lives honoring and praising Him. A cordial invitation is offered to us and an apposite reply is to wholeheartedly show acceptance to an opportunity that is rarely bestowed to someone. As comprehended, God is promisingly doing His part. We also have to take huge steps in making every effort to be worthy of that gift.

Professing our faith with much devotion is a manifestation of channeling our thanksgiving and appreciation back to God who is the source of all good things in this world.
