A lesson plan is a detailed description of how to undertake classes progressively from the lesson one to the final lesson. It assists teachers to organize their work plan and facilitates timely coverage. Work plan details vary depending on teachers’ or trainers’ preferences, subject matter being covered and the students’ needs. A lesson plan includes goals and how the goals will be achieved and the means of finding out how the goals will be achieved.
A well-developed lesson plan reflects the needs and interests of the trainees. This task is for developing a lesson plan for training the hired Airline Reservation Agents for the Jetblue Airline within three days. The program objective is to provide the airline reservation agents various operational skills to carry out their jobs (Bravender, In McClure, & In Schaub, 2015).
As the nominated Training Manager, it is necessary to create a lesson plan as a guide for definite delivery of the content of training. Such a lesson plan must entail what must be covered within stipulated time and what time each training session will require. Therefore, a lesson plan should stipulate content to be covered, sequencing of activities, design or selection of training media, selection or development of practical exercise, timing and planning of each activity, selection of the methods of instructions to be used, and the number and type of evaluation items to be used (Bravender et al., 2015).
