My first reaction to the video was shock. Shock came to my mind because the Kony issue that is occurring was completely new to me and I also couldn't believe that someone was capable of such malevolence. It is hard to hear about things that have happened in the previous years such as the Holocaust, although this situation appears to be a similar one, and is occurring in today's date. We still look back at history and talk about how horrible things were, although i feel that instead of reminiscing on the past that cannot be changed we should work on the present, and stop Kony. One specific part of the video that really captured me was when the amount of children that Kony has stolen was displayed. This really affected me because it's one thing to hear about the number and it's another to have a visual example. It is hard to believe we allowed it to get to such an extent where Kony has kidnapped literally thousands of innocent children.
b) Yes, I think the video made to make Joseph Kony famous worked positively. I feel as though the video helped immensely because I myself did not know of Kony until the video became viral and people began to talk about it. I feel as though the video did not only talk about who and what Kony does, but displayed the severity of it. Due to such a visual clarification of the situation, I feel as though the video affects many people allowing them to feel sympathetic and feel the need to help. The video was also a very good idea because many people in today's society are on the computer and computers are a very easy way of spreading information, allowing Kony to be known worldwide.
