The meaning of management is the process of dealing with or controlling things or people. Moreover, it can be defined as forecasting, planning or organising. All of these meaning was given by Henri Fayol who developed “ the 14 principles of management”. From my experience on management, when I entranced in Thammasat University, I got money from my parent like a monthly salary. Additionally, I also drove a car and park. Hence, I must carefully plan on my spending and manage it enough for a month.
“By combining the approaches of data scientists, psychologists, creatives and engineers we have crafted new ways of understanding the human personality, allowing people to understand themselves and businesses to serve their customers better. We want to enable a web where people have control of their own data, and where the organisations who they choose to share it with can use it as constructively as possible.” From an online questionnaire,VisualDNA, it includes the question about personality. Besides, its results make me understand more about personality assessment. There are 5 different categories in this questionnaire which are openness, conscientiousness, extraversion, agreeableness and neuroticism.
Firstly, my openness is low level with 38%. People with traditional attitude rely on their value and beliefs. These mean that they have deep and strong connection with family and faith in something that has gone before. According to my survey, It is truly that I am a person who is forthright to conceptual or theoretical thinking and also traditional. For instance,I have a new hard mathematics problem. I usually do it by the concept of that topic or step-by-step of that problem while there are some easy method to do it. I still use my way to solve mathematics problem because sometimes I believe in myself that my answer is clear and easy to read it though the answer of both methods are same, in the finally. It is like a traditional that I have faith in it before.
Secondly, the conscientiousness is all about self-control and how to act. My conscientiousness is a bit high which is 69%. I totally agree with this percentage results from the questionnaire,VisualDNA. Everything can always happen in good sides or bad sides. Being a person who has consciousness or be able to control our mind is a profitable thing. We should be aware of the actions or emotion that is going to come out. Sometimes we act or say badly but we don't know that it might hurt ourselves or hurt another people and the situation gets worse.
If we realize or think carefully before saying or think about the action before showing some unpleasant manners to others, I am sure, we cannot only handle the problem well but also keep the gorgeous feeling with ourself and the others. For instance, in the workplace the problems or arguments between colleagues can surely happen. If it happens, we have a consciousness enough, the problem will never hurt us. Besides that we can reach the same goal.
My lowest percentage of the survey is on Extraversion. Extraversion is sociability, talkativeness and tendency to seek stimulation with other. Of course, sometimes I love to enjoy time alone which it make me stay with myself and privacy. On the other hand, I can call myself like a homebody which is I content in my own world or in a small community and enjoy simple pleasure in life. For me, I have many friends but there are only a few closed friend that I maintain strong relationship. Moreover, I love to talk or it can call talkative with someone who I feel closely and trust on him or her.
In the agreeableness, I get the highest percentage, 92%, on this survey. Agreeable individuals find it important to get along with others. I agreed with this result because usually I can work with other people as well. The ones who is agreeableness are helpful, thoughtful, friendly and generous. Their basic belief is that people are usually decent, honest, and trustworthy.
Finally, my neuroticism is 66%. Neuroticism is very emotionally reactive. People will have an emotional response to events that would not affect most people. Sometimes, I feel that I am the one in that group because I am a very sensitive person. Some situation is a normal for other but I sometime feel anxiety or think over in that situation.
