Prepared and innovative leaders must prepare for the successful growth of their organizations by imaging the future. One should ask how successful and innovated companies will be designed in another decade. Technology challenges are testing the design limits of organizations around the world and are exposing limitations of organization growth and effectiveness (Hamel and Green, 2007, Preface). The goal is to unravel business mechanisms that inhibit innovation and growth while providing actionable recommendations to continue to foster an organization's development and management teams using organization assessment tools. The current focus of successful organizational growth efforts appear to focus on such tools and processes as the Strategic Planning Assessment tool, the Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities and Threats (SWOT) Analysis, and management innovation processes among several other available tools. These innovative and assessment tools help improve strategic planning as well as environmental cultures and organizational designs by promoting knowledge transfer and organizational growth as they increase staff, team, and individual efforts and organizational effectiveness. To address short and long term organizational design and management improvements that often involve complex topics such as innovation, transformation, collaboration, knowledge transfer, business behaviors, corporate performance, vision, values and goals, first we must focus on a strategic planning assessment tool.
The first step in evaluating organizational effectiveness for promoting management improvements must be to understand the organization structure based on the strategic plan and design. The effectiveness of the organizational is based on how it is structured, functions, and adapts to innovative technologies. Corporations foster current and future growth with the reoccurring review of the company's strategic plan using the Strategic Planning Assessment tool. Organizational management improvements involve reflection of its current vision, values, and goals in regards to future potential and growth. Such an assessment enables the company to monitor progress toward these goals while making the necessary adjustments for future growth. Successful organizations use the Strategic Planning Assessment tool to verify that a strategic plan remains current, innovative and addresses short and long term organizational design (Mohrman, Galbraith, Lawler, and Associates, 1998). An effective strategic plan also maintains its relevancy by researching the current and projected internal and external environment related to the culture of the staff, employees, volunteers, and customer needs, expectations and wants. Strategic planning and assessment involves organizational-wide processes to identify strategic direction by encouraging employee's to share their creative inputs. The innovated organization familiarizes all staff, employees, and volunteers with its fundamental purpose, values, goals, and customers served.

The strongly committed organization takes the time to identify challenges potentially facing the organization. An examination of the organizational environment entails a review of the environment, systems, policies, and procedures that are in place and practiced. Time must be spent analyzing the internal and external environments and culture, management and technical systems used, and identifying the customs and processes that create the current culture of the organization (Ulrich and Eppinger, 1995). This analysis includes consideration of areas such as knowledge transfer and information flow, planning and decision making processes, and the current corporate environment. The focus of such assessments ensures growth as the company tracks trends that could possibly affect an organization. The enterprise must recognize that the entire system has an effect on each element within the system. Therefore, any changes made could ultimately affect other working systems. The interactions of the various systems and organization design choices one has previously made will either make it easier or disrupt the cultural changes an organization attempts to implement necessary improvements (Ulrich and Eppinger, 1995). The internal and external environments must be analyzed with awareness of the needs and expectations of customers, stakeholders, staff, employees, and competing organizations. This enables a company to meet both the requirements of the external environment as well achieve your desired performance outcomes while growing with future trends. A Strategic Planning Assessment is an innovated tool vital for a company's continued growth as the tool provides awareness and monitoring of the organization's strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats.
When seeking to improve the performance of any growing organization, it is very helpful to regularly review the current business behaviors with such tools as the Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities and Threats Analysis. This analysis tool can be an innovated way to record, monitor, and improve results of the company's strategic, design, and cultural environments. The analysis identifies issues and trends that need to be addressed or improved. Evaluation of an organization's future recognizes short and long term organization design changes needed for the overall successful management improvements. A valid and credible diagnostic tool should include the review of regular recurring trends and activities. This type of analysis is necessary to correct areas needing improving and establish future organizational goals while monitoring the progress toward those goals. Efforts will aid in achievement of the vision more effectively with the constructive Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities and Threats Analysis aimed at management improvement.
