I recently applied for a Visa credit card and I want to increase the credit limit to $15,000. Although the credit limit is set at $10,500, my family income is high enough to consider an increase in the credit limit.

The main reason for this request is to reduce my credit utilization ratio. The charges that would be made will most likely surpass 80% of the current available credit, reducing my FICo score in the long run. A change in my credit limit will also help boost my credit score considerably since the credit utilization ratio would decrease.
