This letter is meant to further the understanding of the group in regards to the Highway 6 and 19th Street crossings. The company was assigned the responsibility of creating a detailed design idea for the pedestrian crossings from the client letter that was received August 16, 2010. The purpose of this letter is to clarify what our group can provide in regards to the project from a design perspective.
For years the crossings over Highway 6 and 19th Street have been inconvenient for pedestrians and commuters. The understanding of the company is to design a crossing to alleviate the congestion caused by the interaction between pedestrians and traffic as well as protect both parties from harm's way. The creation of this design needs to adhere to the $6 Million dollar project budget, 16 week schedule, and criteria and regulations alluded to in the client letter. Going into this project the group is operating with the understanding that only the design will be a deliverable and that the actual construction process will be handled elsewhere. The final presentation will include the design idea as well as a practical implementation of this idea in accordance with the requirements.
Requirements: As outlined in client letter and clarification memo
