Love and discernment go together and grow together. Spiritual discernment, according to Philippians, is when the Holy Spirit is allowed to lead or give directions through Christ's love. This process will show God's people what he wants them to be. According to the book, Paul is stating that love should be a discerning love. If love is attempted on our own, without the holy spirit, it may not have the same outcome or effect. Love needs to be more abound and more in-depth. To do so, Christ should be leading us to this and through it.

"When Christians have wise love, it allows lives to be more pure, more righteous, and more blameless." In order for relationships to prosper and be maintained, we must have a parallel with love and discernment that guides us and leads us throughout our spiritual lives. We simply can't do it ourselves. We all need God's unconditional love and guidance to see us through.

Trying to love on our own without God's guiding hands would be impossible. "Foolish love can make foolish lives and wise love can make wise lives," according to Paul in this chapter. "To all the glory and Praise of God" simply reinforces all of these statements.

Love and discernment go together and grow together. Spiritual discernment is when the Holy Spirit is allowed to lead or give directions through Christ's love. It will show God's people what he wants them to be.
