The play Macbeth has two main characters: one is good, one is evil- the standard for just about every story. In this case, Macbeth and Macduff were brought up the same and have most of the same views in there king and how things should be run. As the story goes on, we find out just how different these two people are from each other. They both grew up with the king as a father figure. The king even respected Macbeth enough to give him the title of thane, which gave him the same status as a prince. Macduff and Macbeth were once equal in almost every way until something happened. One day Macbeth ran into three witches that who told him one day he would become king. Instead of being patient and waiting, he became greedy and started down the path which he never would have went on and murdered his king, because of this his nature and loyalties started to change.
Hello Social Justice Club (and friends),
We will be meeting THREE TIMES this week. How exciting is that? Our first meeting is Tuesday after school at 4:00pm. We will also have a chance to meet Thursday and Friday (I know that many of you work one of those days). Sharieff, Toni, Larry, and DeAndre did a wonderful job of representing us at Loyola Academy two Wednesdays ago, but believe it or not, we still have two or three more possible events this year! Please look ahead on your calendars and make sure you have the next two Saturdays free:
Saturday, April 30th: Local and Global Activism Expo at UIC Forum (9am - 1pm...I would love for everyone who is able to attend!)
Saturday, May 7th: CtK Family Service Day (we need at least 6 student leaders for this event, so email me ASAP to reserve your spot!)
ALSO on Saturday, May 7th: Cristo Rey Peace Project (Family Service Day is our priority, but if we have enough student leaders for that, then this is another opportunity for us)
