Marijuana should be LEGAL even though most people disagree.

Most teens don't use marijuana and from what I learned they are not likely to start when they are older. If they do smoke marijuana then they probably will keep on doing it, and in my opinion I think that it's their body and they can do whatever they want with it the government shouldn't tell people what they can't and can do with their body and their self image.

The government shouldn't arrest anyone because again it's your body and you're the owner so it's YOUR choice to do what you want and what you do is going to be your decision and your consequences. So there really isn't a good reason to band/make it illegal to smoke marijuana. It also doesn't make any sense that marijuana is illegal when alcohol and tobacco are worse than marijuana. I mean why wouldn't that be illegal too. The government is also spending way to much money on putting people behind bars that its making us go into even more debt. So if we make a switch our debt go down.

The doctors said they weren't certain about every thing, like once in my health teachers articles that IT'S NOT CERTAIN whether marijuana "damages" the immune system. Also the only way it may "damage" the immune system is by using a pipe. Using a bong or water pipe it doesn't "damage" or "mess up" your immune system.

Other reasons are it is used in medicine or medical marijuana, which is used to stimulate appetite and relieve nausea in cancer and AIDS patients. Also marijuana is a valuable plant/natural resource. So I guess I'm trying to say is do you really want to get rid of this natural resource and let it "die" or do you want it to stay in our natural resources just like trees or any other resource we are trying to save?

Religions use this type of drug sometimes too and they have to take it, or they are instructed to take it. So once again do you really want to take their "tradition" away from them? But for some people it doesn't really "hurt" their body as much as others. So the government doesn't have a real good point to band/make marijuana illegal.
