Marketing Management can be related to several scriptures in the bible, however The following scripture is from the New International Version of the Holy Bible- Joshua 1:9: "Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be terrified; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go." This scripture is a direct relation to Marketing Management as well as many other situations that arise professionally and personally. In Marketing Management, a person has to deal with several risky decisions which will determine if a company is rewarded a particular contract. Some contracts are very important to the continued success of a company, and there will be times that the marketer will not win the contract. The main lesson for a marketer is to not let issues that arise define who that person is or define what that particular business is in marketing. There are several opportunities to be successful in the management of marketing, however a marketing professional has to realize that several opportunities will come along where the outcome is disappointing. The main lesson is to know that God is always with that person and you should not let the marketing business disappointment get you down where you feel that you are a failure or alone in the unsuccessful attempt to market the business.
Marketing is important in small and large businesses, Many marketers are not successful in helping to make their business shine. Because there is a large amount of competition between businesses, marketers have to make sure that their company shines in the spotlight and can persuade the consumer to purchase their product or service. The scripture of Joshua 1:9 can be used for anyone in the marketing or other businesses to help teach them how to be an honest, ethical marketers that lives up to what they represent, and not have to resort to negative marketing to bring their company success (Administrator, 2009).
If you want your customers to give you what you want from them (revenues or sales), then you should give to them what they want from you (reasonable price, satisfaction and customer care). Do you want your customers to stay with you always? Then keep in touch and pay attention to them always. Of course you don't want your consumers to leave you in the dark, so don't leave them with poor products and services. This is the golden rule, do good things to your clients and customers so that they will also do good things to you.
