Explain how you would respond if you were Palmer at the end of the case.
After being hired and understood as a manager, Palmer could have requested equal personnel to replace Olds for the Johnsonville Trucking audit. By doing so, the responsibilities for the account could have been settled proficiently and professionally. The account time and work load could have been replaced with someone just as skillfully as Olds or equally shared with Palmer's team. In the end, this conflict exploits Palmer characteristically. His decision-making skills to resolve this would have been an asset not only for Johnsonville Trucking audit account, but as well as future management with the firm. However, Palmer's problem-solving expertise may have become questionable to resolve any arising conflict. Also, his interpersonal skills could be assessed for not directing his concerns in the earlier findings of Crosby's time abuse. Overall, Palmer would be the ultimate blame for the confusion by not enforcing the initial agreement between Crosby and him. Therefore, the results for Palmer at the end of Sands' decision was to demand a meeting that includes Palmer, Crosby, and Sands. And in the meeting, disciplinary actions should be in question about employees production, followed by the occurred events that led to the meeting. Hopefully for Palmer, he would be able to avoid any infractions on him or Crosby and better resolve similar issues at M&M in the future.
Discuss what Palmer could do, if anything, to avoid losing Olds.
In most organization, disciplinary actions for employees' performances are initially implemented for the company's structure. The agreement made between Crosby and Palmer should have been documented in the beginning. All verbal communication, occurrences, and worked time needed to be confirmed by email. Also, an created schedule that was initialed by all parties needed to be formatted for time structure on the Johnsonville Trucking and Crosby's assigned consultation projects. If any breached agreements, Palmer could have directed an email of concerns with Crosby and requested a meeting to resolve the issue between them. In addition, Olds would be informed of his actions as well, also this is documented and confirmed by email for Palmer files. More so, any continuing abuse by Crosby would lead to disciplinary actions for Olds and Sands would be informed of the mishandling
